How to recharge Vodafone R sim used for samsung unlock?

I bought Vodafone R SIM for unlocking Samsung country locked phone , but it stopped working after a month .
It displays network but couldnt make any calls , do i need to recharge it or my SIM card has expired and need to buy new one.
